Changes to NDIS Price Guide which affect therapy charges

Dear customer,

Thank you for choosing Northcott as your NDIS therapy provider.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) released its new price guide for 2019 on Wednesday 26 June 2019. The new guide includes cost changes for therapy and how they will be charged to your NDIS plan.

What has changed?

  • The NDIS Therapy hourly rate has increased to $193.99
  • Two therapy support item numbers have been replaced
  • Funded staff travel time has increased to up to 30 minutes each way in metropolitan areas and up to 60 minutes each way in regional areas
  • Cancellation notice periods have changed and there is no longer a maximum limit on cancellation charges

What are the new cancellation charges?

You will need to give two (2) business days cancellation notice for a service that is less than eight (8) hours continuous duration. We will always try to reschedule services to ensure we are supporting you to achieve your goals. If you do not give us two (2) business days cancellation notice, 90% of the cost of the service will be charged to your plan. The new cancellation notice charges will be applied from 15 July 2019.

How will these charges impact your NDIS Plan?

As a result of the NDIS pricing increases, we may need to review your Northcott service agreement and request a review of your NDIS plan. Your account manager will monitor your funding and be in contact with you to discuss any changes. They will support you each step of the way and advise you if a new service agreement is required.
