We understand that everyone has different wants and needs out of their future home. This is why Northcott will work with you to find the best disability housing to suit your lifestyle. This includes:
- Helping put together households
Not everyone qualifies for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding, but that doesn’t mean you can’t live in a household with other people who also access supports through Supported Independent Living (SIL).
Finding the right people who have similar supports needs to live with can be tricky, or maybe you have found the right person but don’t know how to coordinate your support applications to get it approved by the NDIS. We can support you to set up your household.
- Working with developers and other housing providers
We have contacts with a number of private developers who are looking to develop disability housing. We provide advice and guidance on what sort of housing is suitable and attractive.
Northcott works in partnership with these developers and housing providers to provide the support services for people with disability.
- Providing disability housing options in new locations around NSW
People with disability should be able to choose where they live and be close to their friends and family.
We work with developers, investors, housing providers and local communities to provide disability housing in new locations. This includes new options in regional areas and looking at the private rental market.
