Enjoy some all-important time away
It’s great to get away every now and again, with a much-needed break from your daily routine. By making time to unwind, socialise and have some fun, you’ll return home happier, more relaxed and ready to get back into everyday life.
Our respite care services offer you a getaway in accessible short or medium term accommodation. We understand that everyone has their own needs and different interests, so we plan your stay around what you require to feel supported and what you’d like to do.
You’ll meet people with shared interests, discover new activities and spend time on your favourite hobbies. You can also develop your social skills, gain more confidence and learn life skills to build your independence.
If you’re aged from seven to 17 years, it’s your chance to enjoy a sleepover and make new friends. For adults, you can explore more independent living, including skills for moving out, and try different experiences away from your family or carer. Maybe that means a visit to the pub or going out on a date.
And while you’re having fun, your family or carer can take some time to recharge, knowing you are being looked after in a comfortable and friendly environment.

Build your confidence and independence
As part of a group environment, you can try new experiences for yourself. In a relaxed social setting, learn from the group and challenge each other to improve your confidence and skills. Time away from your family or carer also gives you a taste of greater independence.
Spend time with friends
Make new friends with similar interests, or catch up with old friends. If you stay with us regularly there’s a good chance you’ll see the same people again. This gives you the opportunity to form deeper, more rewarding relationships. Spending time together as a group, you’ll enjoy mixing with others and taking part in shared activities.
Develop valuable life skills
In your time away, you’ll learn a range of useful skills. Whether it’s personal care, domestic tasks or communicating with others, you’ll feel empowered to get more out of life. For young adults, you get to sample what it might be like to move out of home and have your own space away from your family or primary carers, which is an exciting step towards greater independence.
