Are you a teenager looking to get more active and involved!

Our Group Supports are services designed for like minded teenagers coming together in small groups to do the things that your enjoy. You’ll be with other teenagers who share the same interests, goals and abilities, together we’ll work out what you want to do and how you can be supported to do it your way.

From learning new skills to increase your independence to sensory regulation techniques, our program is aimed at teenagers in high school looking to expand your horizon.

I’ve changed so much since coming to Northcott. I’m more confident. Northcott has helped so much with everything. I feel pretty good about my future now.

Person centred active support

We focus on person centred active support. This is an approach that is fundamental to the provision of effective, person-centred support.  It is a way of providing assistance to people that focuses on making sure individuals are engaged and have the ability to participate in all areas of their life.

The practical outcome of person centred active support is better engagement. This means we explore ways of supporting you the way you want to be supported, with guidance from you, your family, community group and anyone you want us to connect to.

We don’t believe in a rigid system with broad solutions that compromise our level of service. Hence the way we manage the delivery of our group services depends on our clients, disability supports needs, interests and engagement. For example, many of our Recreation groups plan activities as a team, manage the social calendar, research businesses and use their skills to create a personalised event plan for their group.
