Enrol your child in our free group cooking programs for children with disability aged 6 – 12, and teenagers with disability aged 12 – 17.
Northcott’s Guide to Healthy Chefs includes theory and practical activities run by qualified dietitians.
Your child will:
- Make food suitable for their lunchbox and after school snacks.
- Learn healthy eating principles from the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (AGHE) about the five food groups.
- Learn the importance of each food group and how to portion and include these into daily meals.
- Develop practical kitchen skills to make well balanced meals using the five food groups and healthy eating principles.
- Receive a 5 star Chef Award after completing the set tasks within the program.

Participants can register to attend as many sessions as they would like. However spaces are limited, so please register your interest ASAP.
We will send you a pre-program questionnaire to complete. This is to check that communication, knowledge, physical ability and skills level of participants is the right match for the program.
