We are seeking an experienced WHS and IM Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our metropolitan and regional operations. This pivotal role drives continuous improvement in safety systems, ensures compliance with WHS legislation, and supports the wellbeing and recovery of our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team delivering WHS and injury management services across multiple sites.
  • Partner with executives and managers to embed safety leadership and align WHS strategy with business goals.
  • Oversee risk assessments, audits, and critical incident investigations to strengthen compliance and reduce workplace risk.
  • Maintain and enhance policies, consultation frameworks, management systems and reporting processes that support a proactive safety culture.
  • Drive early intervention and best-practice return-to-work outcomes, coordinating with employees, managers, medical practitioners, insurers and rehabilitation providers.
  • Manage with the team workers compensation claims, monitor premium performance within the LPR system, and collaborate with insurers and brokers on cost-effective outcomes.
  • Analys’s safety and injury data to identify trends, guide prevention strategies, and improve recovery, return-to-work and overall safety outcomes.
  • Represent WHS and Injury Management in executive and cross-functional forums, influencing positive organisational change.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar WHS and Injury Management leadership role.
  • In-depth understanding of WHS, workers compensation (ideally within LPR in NSW), and return-to-work legislation.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence at all organisational levels.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally.
