About the opportunity:
Our Campbeltown & Casula team are looking for 5 support workers for a casual position. This opportunity suits individuals who want to provide individualised support in a day program. The rate is $33.42/hr + superannuation + salary packaging + casual loading.
Role Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a day/ life skills program.
- Manual Handling – customers require assistance due to mobility.
- Challenging behaviour Experience – we have customers with complex health and behavioural concerns.
- Personal care includes bowel care, various equipment and aids, and other health and hygiene needs such as medication, dressing, toileting, and showering.
Typical duties might include:
- Ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their care plans, including goals.
- Empower to establish effective communication with customers using an individualised approach, using whatever means of communication is appropriate for each individual.
- Implementing and reviewing Individual Program Plans.
- Record the progress of each customer in line with relevant documentation.
- Devise and facilitate program activities and workshops with customers and other support staff.
- Support and actively encourage customer participation in decision-making about their program and service.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Valid working rights.
- A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
- NSW Working with Children Check NSW.
- NDIS Worker Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Health Assessment
