Permanent part-time role available at North Parramatta. will start with 24 hours per fortnight and has the potential to increase in the near year if this suits. 

Program operating hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm.

About the opportunity: 

We are seeking Enrolled Nurses to join our day program in North Parramatta. We offer a permanent part-time position at a rate of $35 to $50 + superannuation + salary packaging.

*Pay rates are determined by the total number of hours worked as an enrolled nurse.*

Role Requirements:

  • Gastronomy feeding.
  • Manual handling.
  • Temperature and port a cath monitoring.
  • Catheterisation.
  • Respiratory stridor.
  • Adrenal suppression.
  • Oxygen saturation and heart rate monitoring.
  • Epilepsy management.
  • Respiratory and secretion management.

Typical duties might include: 

  • Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence.
  • Supporting customers with personal care, including bowel care, manual handling using a variety of equipment and aids and other health and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication, dressing, toileting and showering.
  • Undertaking various tasks, including mealtime management and liaising with GPs, care coordinators, RNs and allied health.
  • Attend to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board).  
  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualifications. 
  • Registration with the medication notation is highly preferred, or willingness to complete a Board-approved qualification in administering medicines within 12 months of commencement.
