About the role

Northcott has an exciting opportunity for 2 experienced ICT Support Officers to join our ICT team on a project-based assignment. You will be working under the guidance of our Network Engineer to support and manage Northcott’s network infrastructure with a good knowledge and understanding of LAN, WAN and network hardware. The roles requires travel to our 100 sites, where some days will include multiple site visits including rural and regional sites.

About you

  • Strong understanding of Network infrastructure, Network hardware and Network protocols with the ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches and VoiP.
  • Adaptability to unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design network communication systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with visualized solutions.
  • Good communication skills - be able to coordinate with both internal at all levels and external stakeholders where necessary.
  • Willing to travel to Regional NSW and Sydney Metro sites.
  • Flexible to work outside business hours when required.
  • Must hold valid Drivers Licence & be able to drive.

Responsibility:

  1. Maintaining and Installing computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  2. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  3. Provides support of a multi-user network including hardware and software tools as well as installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of LAN and WAN switches, wireless access points and controllers and VoIP telephony equipment at all sites.
  4. Maintain network systems and security standards and follow policies and procedures, ensuring network connectivity for all devices.
  5. Ensure quality assurance processes are being followed, including service levels as outlined in the ICT Service Level Agreement and change control procedures.
  6. Upgrade, install, and troubleshoot networks, networking hardware devices, and software. Replace faulty network hardware components when required.
  7. Develop and document standards for network devices.
  8. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
