WINK Program
Supporting Young People to Transition from School to Employment

Get job-ready with WINK
WINK is a six-week work readiness program that supports students with disability to build the skills and confidence they need to prepare for life after school.
Delivered by Northcott in partnership with local schools, WINK gives students the chance to learn practical employment skills, explore different career pathways and experience what it takes to be job-ready.
What is the WINK Program?
The WINK Program is a six-week employment readiness program designed for young people preparing to transition from school into the workforce.
Through a combination of interactive workshops, practical activities, guest speakers and mock interviews, participants learn what employers are looking for and how to present themselves confidently in professional settings.
Sessions are delivered at Northcott’s Campbelltown office and focus on developing skills that can be applied across a wide range of industries and employment opportunities.

Build skills for work and beyond
Getting ready for work involves more than writing a resume. WINK gives students opportunities to build their confidence, independence and communication skills, while learning more about what employers are actually looking for.
Over six weeks, students have the opportunity to learn new skills including:
- Writing a resume and cover letter
- Searching and applying for jobs
- Preparing for and practising job interviews
- Communicating in the workplace
- Teamwork, punctuality and initiative
- Professional presentation and grooming
These hands-on activities are designed to make learning engaging, relevant and connected to real workplace experiences. Students also hear from guest speakers from different industries, helping them explore career options and consider what might be right for them.
Through WINK, students develop work-ready skills, gain real-world experience and build greater confidence to put them in good stead for life after school.
