Learn practical life skills in a fun and friendly environment
Develop the skills you need for a more independent life
Gaining new skills is a great way to build your confidence, independence and enjoyment of life. And it’s even better when you’re learning in a fun, social environment with new friends.
If you’re aged 14-17 years, our Skills 4 Life program empowers you to develop a range of practical life skills you can use every day. It runs in the afternoon after school during the school term, and in each session you’ll work on a new skill or take part in a different educational activity.
Whether it’s communicating and working with others, making decisions, or completing daily tasks around the house, enjoy the feeling of achievement that comes with learning new everyday skills.
Our team who run Skills 4 Life are passionate about life skill development and know how to make learning engaging and fun. You’ll discover your personal strengths and identify areas where you’d like to improve. As your abilities and confidence grow, you’ll feel motivated and inspired to set new goals and get even more out of life.

Your needs come first
We’ll work with you and your family to understand your individual needs and goals. We’ll get to know you so we can map out the life-skill strategies that will enable you to live the life you want to lead. Your goals can be as unique as you are, and we’ll work together to make them happen.
Flexible learning environments
Different people like to learn in different ways. This is why we offer flexible learning environments that best suit you. It may be individual support or working in a small group at a centre where you can build your skills as part of a community. We’ll explore the different options with you and create a plan to get you on the path to achieving your goals.
Empowering you to try new activities
Gaining independence to live life on your terms is a key outcome of developing everyday life skills. You’ll learn by doing, and feel empowered to try new things for yourself, whether the activity is big or small.
Be an engaged member of the community
