Northcott PSOS (Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service) Playgroup is a small, newly established playgroup designed especially for newborns to preschool-aged children with acquired spinal cord injury (SCI). Based at Northcott Parramatta, our playgroup offers a safe, friendly space where children can play, learn and grow, and where parents can connect with others who truly understand.

The PSOS Playgroup brings families together in a nurturing setting that combines play, peer connection and professional support. Sessions are currently planned monthly, with flexible days and times to suit families’ needs.
This playgroup has been created specifically for families of children with spinal cord injury, offering:

One of the unique strengths of the PSOS Playgroup is the presence of the Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service (PSOS) team, providing families with access to specialised care in a relaxed, play-based setting.
The PSOS team includes:
- Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Social Worker
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapist
This means each family can receive one-on-one support tailored to the individual needs of their child, while still enjoying the social and community benefits of a playgroup.

Northcott PSOS Playgroup is supporting children with an acquired spinal cord injury and bringing families together through play, connection and care. The NSW Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service (PSOS) is funded by the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) and hosted by Northcott.
