As a Senior Support Worker in our accommodation setting at Mount Hutton, I will:
- Support the day-to-day running of specialist disability accommodation activities focused on Daily Living Skills, Independence and Active Person Centred Support.
- Work closely with the Service Coordinator to support the team's success, stepping up when needed.
- Facilitate customer focused daily activities such as personal goals, hobbies, and gardening to engage and inspire customers.
- Assist with administration tasks, including WHS audits (fire drills, site safety inspections) to ensure a safe environment.
- Help plan and review customer programs and plans, providing guidance to other support workers and ensuring that best practise is implemented and followed specific to the customer plans.
- Assist with rostering in Niara, and help cover duties when the Service Coordinator is absent.
- Be available from 8 am to 4 pm, ensuring consistent support throughout the day.

- 2 years’ experience working with people with a disability, assisting them to achieve outcomes
- Experience in using initiative, working both autonomously and as part of a team
- First Aid Certificate
- Driver’s Licence
- Knowledge of the National Disability Standards
- Knowledge of WHS principles, including safe manual handling procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of active supports
- Knowledgeable using Microsoft products such us Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Willingness to learn service specific programs and applications
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check or Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
