What I Will Be Doing:
As a Support Worker in a day program and respite setting, I will empower customers to live as independently and confidently as possible, supporting them to develop daily living skills, maintain their health and well-being, and stay actively connected to their community.
- I will support customers in day-to-day life, including personal care and health needs.
- I will facilitate engaging group activities – art, music, swimming, gardening, or drama.
- I will build strong, respectful relationships with customers and their families
- I will be working with people with intellectual disability, high physical support needs, or complex behaviours.
- I will use my skills in manual handling, PEG feeding, administering medication and providing transport.
- I am flexible to work on a rotating roster, preferably from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, weekdays and days/nights on weekends.
As a Northcott Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised, meaningful support to customers in a day program or respite setting. No two days are ever the same — one day, you could be leading a creative art session, and the next, you are helping with daily living tasks to support independence and well-being.
