Full time contract until 14th April 2025 with a possible extension at our QLD Darra site - We require you to work full time Monday to Friday.

About the role

The Facilities team supports the business with all aspects of property maintenance – both planned and reactive work that ensure our staff and customers have safe work and living environments.

Northcott owns and leases properties across NSW and SE QLD. Facilities work with our group home partner organisations, landlords and contractors and manage all aspects of maintenance, capital works, fire safety, pest control as well as undertake new property searches and maintain leasing documentation.

Your everyday tasks may include:

  • Processing work requests that are logged in the Facilities helpdesk system, supporting staff with maintenance and repairs requests. 
  • Liaise with contractors to obtain quotes and commence works. 
  • Travel between Northcott sites to undertake site inspections as required to maintain consistent high standards.
  • Ensure plant and equipment at Northcott sites is functioning correctly and maintained according to regulations.  
  • Provide ongoing efficient service delivery. 

 

About you

  • Motivated - self-starter with strong organisational skills.
  • Eye for Detail - demonstrate attention to detail through sustained stakeholder engagement.
  • Work Under Pressure - demonstrated experience handling high volumes of service requests.
  • Tech savvy - High level of computer and literacy skills
  • Meeting Deadlines - Be able to thrive in a high-volume environment with numerous competing deadlines.

Key requirements of the role 

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of facilities & maintenance.
  • Trade qualification (highly desirable).  
  • Knowledge of relevant building classifications, standards, laws and regulations impacting areas of facility management and disability services. 
  • Understanding of WHS legislation. 

 

Essential checks for Northcott staff include

  • NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Australian working rights
  • Current driver’s license
