About the opportunity:

Northcott are looking for 4 permanent Support Workers for our Bonnyrigg Heights location. Permanent contracts from 40 to 60 hours per fortnight. The rate is $33.42/hr + superannuation + salary packaging for permanent employees.

Role Requirements:
• Manual Handling – our customers require assistance due to mobility deterioration.
• Challenging behaviour Experience – we have customers with complex health and behaviours  of concern.
• Hoist Experience.
• Can follow and implement strict routines.
• Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Great communication skills.

What the group home location is like: 
This group home has customers with complex health and behaviours of concern. The customers have Positive Behaviour Support Plans to maintain their day-to-day activities. Our customer enjoy doing activities of their choice. They love going for drives, walks, listening to music and engaging with staff.

Typical duties might include:
• Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence.
• Supporting customers with personal care including bowel care, manual handling using a variety of equipment and aids and other health, and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication administration, dressing, toileting and showering.
• Undertaking various household tasks including mealtime management, cleaning, shopping, and other community access activities such as supporting customers to their medical appointments. 

Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Valid working rights.
• A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
• NSW Working with Children Check NSW & Blue Card QLD.
• NDIS Worker Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Health Assessment.
