About The Role

Due to ongoing growth we are looking for two Injury Management Specialists to join our dynamic team. Providing subject matter expertise on workplace injury management and recovery practices, this is a great opportunity to make a difference to people in their ultimate time of need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for Injury Management Specialists with a "hands on" approach to working with injured workers, employers, medical providers and stakeholders to own injury claims within the organisation.

You will; 

  • Be the first point of contact in providing advice, guidance and support for targeted injury management
  • Be involved in advising on the development, implementation and evaluation of effective best practice for WHS services at Northcott.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate a best practice approach to injury management and achieve timely sustainable return to work outcomes
  • Provide first level advice to managers and employees in relation to work health and safety matters
  • Conduct and monitor incident investigations and identify contributing factors
  • Monitor workers compensation claims costs, liaise with external stakeholders including treatment advisors, insurers etc.
  • Coach site managers on the principles of injury management, and provide instruction on return-to-work obligations and processes
  • Partner with HR following disclosure of non-work related medical conditions, considering industrial risks
  • ABOUT YOU

    • 5+ years’ experience in workers compensation and claims management
    • Strong practical and theoretical understanding of injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work practices, including relevant legislation and guidance material
      Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Allied Health  or a related business discipline
    • The ability to manage multiple complex claims
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, in an appropriate, timely and professional manner.
    • Experience working in a LPR or Self-Insurance environment, and appropriate knowledge desirable
    • Willingness and ability to travel to regional locations across NSW on a regular basis
    • Current driver's licence
