3D printed custom-made orthoses
At Northcott, children are able to access 3D printed, custom-made orthoses through our collaboration with AbilityMade and Northcott Innovation. This collaboration enables us to provide children with a range of orthoses, such as Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs), Supra Malleolar Orthoses (SMOs) and UCBLs using a plaster-cast free, digital approach.
See the 3D printed AFOs process in action here.
Our experienced and committed orthotics team will work with customers to identify and create the right orthoses for each individual’s specific needs. We specialise in a range of custom-made orthoses including: Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs), Foot Orthoses (FO), Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses (KAFOs), Supra Malleolar Orthoses (SMOs), UCBLs, calipers, and custom supports/braces for the lower limbs. Off the shelf orthoses are also available. This service is available for adults and children.
Our highly experienced pedorthist will support customers to live comfortably by creating custom made medical grade footwear. The footwear is designed with style and support in mind and can be tailored to suit the needs of individuals with polio, diabetes, ulcers, leg length discrepancy, club foot, charcot foot and foot deformities. All custom footwear can be designed in collaboration with Northcott’s orthotist to ensure seamless integration between the footwear and the individual’s brace, caliper or orthoses. Our team can also modify off the shelf footwear to accommodate extra width, depth, shoe raisers and orthoses. This service is available for adults and children.
I have over 18 years experience as an Orthotist and enjoy working closely with my customers. I believe that the physical disability is never a barrier to living a fulfilling life
During my 34 years with Northcott, I’ve enjoyed getting to know our customers and offer a service that improves their quality of life.
