This exciting opportunity at North Parramatta is perfect for a passionate individual dedicated to helping people with disabilities build and search for careers.

Typical duties might include: 

  • Assist our customers with employment goals, networking with employers on their behalf and organising work placements. 
  • Empower the support staff to establish effective communication with customers using an individualized approach, using whatever means of communication is appropriate for each individual.
  • Implementing and reviewing Individual Program Plans. 
  • Record the progress of each customer in line with relevant documentation. 
  • Devise and facilitate program activities and workshops with customers and other support staff. 
  • Support and actively encourage customer participation in decision-making about their program and service. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience supporting customers and assisting people with disabilities to find jobs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our unique customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans, including goals.
  • A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
  • NSW Working With Children Check  or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
