About the opportunities:

We love our home in beautiful Deniliquin. Five of us live here and we are like a family. We want to do lots of different things and enjoy life but we need people like you to support us in achieving that goal.

 On offer are:

  • Two x  40 hour per fortnight permanent part-time positions; and
  • Casual roles.

Typical duties include (but are not limited to): 

  • Developing and implementing programs to support customers to grow their skills and abilities so they are more able to make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the community  
  • Implementing behaviour support plans aimed at supporting individuals who demonstrate low level challenging behaviours to achieve their goals
  • Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, health and hygiene such as eating, dressing toileting and showering
  • Performing various household tasks including menu planning, meal preparation, cleaning, shopping and other activities of daily living

Essential Requirements:

  • A demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers, 
  • Experience, preferably gained in the disability sector, in supporting customers with low level challenging behaviours
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans, as appropriate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster; you will be required to work across morning, afternoon and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence, NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Check and a Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time – including evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
