Promoting best practice supports for people with disability

We’d like to introduce you to Kristiarne, Service Manager for Operations at Northcott. Kristiarne’s role involves supporting coordinators within the Northwest area including Hornsby, Seven Hills, Parramatta Yileen/Merindah, North Rocks and Penrith.

Service Managers provide operational leadership to their team of staff. They also drive the efficiency and financial viability of our services and ensure compliance with Northcott’s policies and systems, as well as the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

Kristiarne has been working in disability services for over 5 years. She is passionate about working with all departments to promote best practice service provision for people with disability in the Northwest community.

We asked Kristiarne to answer a few short questions to find out more about her. Check out her answers below!

What do you enjoy most about working in your team?

Supporting coordinators within Northwest to make a difference to the customers we support within community services.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child I wanted to be a Special Needs Teacher.

What was your favourite subject in school? Why?

CAFS – Community and Family Studies. It allowed to find and grow my interest in supporting those within the local community.

What qualifications do you have which have been useful in your role?

I have completed a Bachelor of Inclusive Education and Disability Studies and a Diploma of Children’s Services. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Leadership and Management.

What does your perfect day look like?

A perfect day looks like, starting with a coffee in my hand in the morning and enjoying the sun with families and friends. Possibly going for a walk and finishing the day by having a good chicken parm at my local.
