About the podcast

In the podcast, former Attitude Foundation CEO and disability advocate, Angel Dixon OAM is joined by guests to unpack some of the findings, discuss the impact of certain attitudes on people with disability and share ways we can all help build a more inclusive society.

Across the series, Angel’s guests include:
• screenwriter, actor and producer Emily Dash
• self-labelled ‘political nerd’ Todd Winther
• filmmaker Johanna Garvin; and
• singer/songwriter and Chief Innovation Officer Emma Bennison.

The topics covered in the 6 episodes are:
• 78% of survey respondents agreed that people are unsure how to act around people with disability. (Episode 1)
• 61% agreed that people often make fun of disability. (Episode 2 and Episode 3)
• 63% agreed that people with disability are easy to take advantage of or exploit. (Episode 4)
• 22% agreed that people with disability have less to look forward to than others. (Episode 5 and Episode 6)

Angel and her guests present a balanced, honest, sometimes funny and eye-opening discussion on feelings and behaviours not often talked about.
