Early Links Program
Our Early Links Program supports parents and carers who:
- Seek support for their child’s development
- Want to better understand their child’s diagnosis
- Need to be linked to services that can support their child and family
- Are looking to become more involved in their community
We recognise that children with disability and their families have specific and unique needs around the time of diagnosis.
We work specifically with families that have a child aged 0-8 years where there is a concern for their development or where they have recently received a diagnosis.
We assist families to use informal and community supports to help maintain the resilience and wellbeing of the whole family.
Our Early Links Program also works with local communities to advocate for increased inclusion for children with disability.
What we can offer
Our qualified, experienced and committed staff can support our customers in a number of ways:
Our team can meet with customers in their home or at one of our consulting rooms. We have significant experience working with many children and families and will create links between families or carers who share similar experiences. We can also give customers opportunities to talk with experienced therapists, teachers and other professionals so they will not feel alone with the challenges they are facing.
Support to stay positive and informed
Our team are committed to increasing our customers understanding of their child’s development. We can provide information about activities and services available to support customers, their child and family members, as well as information about different funding available. Our team will work with customers to provide practical solutions to challenges they are facing now.
Goal setting and planning for now and the future
Our team will work with schools or preschools to ensure our customers’ children participate in, and enjoy, activities and interactions with other children. We can support our customers and their child to learn new skills. We will work with our customers to determine their needs and develop a plan to achieve agreed goals so they can reach their potential.

- Coffs Harbour
