How you can help Northcott to support people with disability

Northcott has been around for almost 90 years. One thing we’ve learnt in that time is that we couldn’t do what we do without the assistance of some very valuable supporters and team members.

From volunteering to financial giving and careers, there is a range of ways you can become part of the Northcott story.

Northcott offers three types of volunteering: individual volunteering, corporate group volunteering or skilled volunteering.

Within those categories there’s a range of different positions to suit your unique skills and availability. There is no set time commitment that Northcott requires of our volunteers so you can come in regularly, or every now and then, depending on your circumstances.

Not only will your contribution make a difference in the lives of our customers, but it’s also a rewarding experience, as Sandra Younis, one of our long-term volunteers, can attest to.

“Volunteering at Northcott gives me a sense of purpose,” Sandra says.

“I’m in my 8th year and I’ve developed true friendships with customers and staff and I am included as one of the team.”

Along with our dedicated volunteers we also receive assistance from generous donors whose financial contributions are vital in supporting Northcott to work with customers to unlock their potential.

There are several different ways you can give to Northcott, including one-off donations, bequests and our monthly regular giving program. As a donor, you can decide how much you would like to give and, as the saying goes, every dollar counts.

If financial giving isn’t a viable option for you, there’s other ways to help raise funds for Northcott, including becoming a community fundraiser.

Whether you want to challenge yourself to a fun run, hold a charity auction, or get a little more creative, Northcott can support you with your event, with plenty of handy tips along the way.

Along with the knowledge that you’re working to assist our customers to achieve their goals, joining Northcott also has several perks. Northcott staff enjoy flexible working arrangements, salary packaging and bonus leave to cover office shut down periods.

Northcott is always on the lookout for talented and dedicated allied health professionals and support workers, but there’s a host of other positions that are crucial to Northcott’s success from marketing through to administrative support.

Whether you love working with numbers, are a great team leader, or a communications whiz, there’s always new opportunities popping up with Northcott for people who have a strong work ethic and embody our values.
