Abstracts are now open for the ‘Exploring Inclusion: The Australian Disability Community in Conversation Online’ conference. But hurry – the closing date is Friday 8 November!

Aiming to bring together a wide range of stakeholders in conversation regarding best practice in service provision for people with disability, this online event will be held on 31 March 2020.

It will provide an opportunity to hear the latest information concerning innovations, programs and services which address the needs of people with disability. There will be a strong emphasis on evidence-based supports and approaches that are effective in enhancing the quality of life and inclusion of people with disability.

‘Exploring Inclusion’ will incorporate a variety of accessibility features, including plain language information about presentations, while Auslan interpreted and captioned sessions will facilitate ease of access for a diverse range of conference delegates.

The conference has four topics:

  • Finding the support that is right for you
  • Providing services that people with disability want
  • Practical approaches to support choice and decision making
  • Supporting people with complex and high support needs.

People with disability are encouraged to send summaries of their presentation (abstracts). Three 15-minute presentations will be chosen for each topic.
