What I Will Be Doing

As an Allied Health Assistant at Northcott, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and programs to our customers under the guidance of qualified Allied Health Professionals.

This casual role is based locally in Kempsey, with 2-3 days per week, and work days and hours align with school days and terms. There is potential to grow based on your availability and service demand. You’ll receive ongoing supervision and support, both in-person and remotely.

You will:

  • Deliver individual and group therapy programs under the direction of our Allied Health team.
  • Provide culturally appropriate services with a strong focus on supporting the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers and communities.
  • Support customers and families to achieve their therapy and independence goals.
  • Work collaboratively  with the community, working with local child care centres and schools.  
  • Gain real-world experience in the rapidly growing disability sector, supported by experienced clinicians.

About You

I am an enthusiastic and compassionate Allied Health student or qualified Allied Health Assistant, passionate about supporting people with disability to live fulfilling and independent lives. I am a professional, empathetic, and eager to learn from experienced therapists.

I will bring:

  • Experience working with children, this may be as an educator, a teacher's aid, a sports coach or other relevant roles.
  • A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or Certificate III qualification (desirable but not required).
  • Motivation to learn the role and be part of the Northcott team.
