Work-life balance: Full time and part time positions are available and we offer a 9 day working fortnight for our full timers.

You can work from home or across two of our friendly sites based in Wollongong and Oak Flats. We are serious about offering you support: We give our clinicians 2 weeks paid professional development leave each financial year and a generous professional development budget to go toward approved courses, workshops and seminars.

 In this role you will:

  • Provide a high-quality Speech Pathology assessment and intervention service that is evidence based and solutions focused.
  • Manage a mixed caseload with varied needs across the lifespan.   
  • Be able to work with clients of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments: Clinic, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
  • Demonstrate and embody Northcott values ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
  • Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Speech Pathology profession.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and professional registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
  • An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.
  • Be computer literate and familiar with using customer record systems.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Current NDIS Screening Check 
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
  • Access to use of own vehicle, if pool car not available (Km reimbursement available).
