 Providing leadership within Northcott’s Behaviour Support team.

We have roles available across the Sydney Metro area including Campbelltown, Hurstville, Parramatta and Penrith

And in regional areas such as Wagga, Taree, Coffs Harbour, Ballina and Wollongong (location negotiable).

As an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing both Comprehensive and Interim Behaviour Support plans that meet NDIS commission requirements for the use of Restricted Practices for customers with complex support needs
  • Provision of ongoing practice supervision and mentoring to Core and Proficient practitioners including review and approval of behaviour support plans prior to submission to the NDIS Commission Portal.
  • Provision of mentoring and coaching to Behaviour Support Trainees as part of Northcott’s Behaviour Support Trainee Program
  • Completion of a variety of assessments for existing and potential customers to support Northcott’s Housing Pathway
  • Use knowledge and practical skills gained through further study and/or extensive practical experience to provide specialist behaviour support working in complex contexts.

Interested? This is what we’re looking for;

  • Eligibility to work as an NDIS Commission approved Advanced Practitioner.
  • A tertiary qualification such as Psychology, Social Work or other relevant allied health area
  • Minimum five years’ experience mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
  • Experience working with customers with a range of complexities using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening (willingness to obtain).
  • Working with Children Checks (willingness to obtain)
  • Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time – including evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
