In this role you will:

  • Provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention service that is evidence based and solutions focused.
  • Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs.   
  • Be able to work with clients of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
  • Demonstrate and embody Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
  • Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Occupational Therapy profession.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
  • An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer skills.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Hold a current NDIS Screening Check that is less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain one.
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
