About the opportunity:
Northcott is currently looking for a committed, friendly and professional AIN to join our Accommodation Services Team in Bungarribee. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to actively support the individual needs of our customers and support them in reaching their goals.
Typical duties may include:
- Providing quality nursing and support to our customers
- Promoting improvement in quality of life and foster independence for people with disability
- Supporting customers with personal care and hygiene
The right person for this position will possess:
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers
- Proven experience in the disability field
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster; you will be required to work across morning, afternoon and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts
- The ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans, as appropriate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent
- An Australian driver's licence, Provisional or C class and be willing to transport customers in a wheelchair-accessible van
- A NSW Working With Children Check
- A NDIS Worker Check
- A Current First Aid & CPR certificate with units of competency HLTAID001 and HLTAID003
