We are a leading disability services provider in NSW and the ACT, providing services and support for people with disability and their families and carers. Northcott Therapy provides support to children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities including intellectual disability, physical disability, autism and global developmental delay.

In this role you will:

  • Be committed to using a person-centred approach to deliver evidence based therapy to adults, children, and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual and/or physical disability and other complex support needs.
  • Work with customers providing dietetic assessment and intervention based on their identified goals.
  • Work with Northcott employees in our accommodation services, providing training and support to upskill them in supporting customers with their nutrition.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies
  • Always work on "best practice" solutions for our customers
  • Provide centre and community based therapies
  • Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills in Northcott
  • Positively contribute to quality and business improvement

Requirements:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a dietician with a range of customers
  • Excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening
  • Ability and commitment to work with a customer-centred approach
  • Ability to work autonomously in a complex environment with multiple demands and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner
  • Understanding of the NDIS and experience working in a fee for service model
  • Computer literate and familiar with using customer record systems
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willing to obtain
  • Police Check, less than 6 months old
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
