About the opportunity: 

Northcott has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team, in the Mortdale region, on a Permanent Part Time basis - 45 hours per fortnight. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be required to work across our Specialist Supported Living Homes to support our customers to live independently.

As a Registered Nurse you will: 

  • Assist in coordinating customer and clinical services
  • Provide staff with feedback, coaching, training and support to improve and maximise performance
  • Ensure day to day administrative processes are operating effectively
  • Deliver quality nursing and support to our customers
  • Promote improvement in quality of life and foster independence for people with disability
  • Provide person centred, holistic and effective care
  • Be flexible, working within a rotating roster

The right person for this position will:

  • Hold an Australian driver's licence, Provisional or C class, and be willing to drive a 12 seater van
  • Have tertiary qualifications or equivalent including current nursing registration (RN)
  • Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Possess a NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • Have proven experience in the disability field
  • Possess a National Police History Check or willingness to obtain
  • Hold a Current First Aid & CPR
  • Have the ability to work a rotating roster
  • Have knowledge of the NSW Disability Standards
  • Have knowledge of WHS principles including safe manual handling procedures
