About the role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Area Manager position plays an important strategic role in the delivery of quality services and programs across the New England region of NSW. The Area Manager has one team leader and two coordinators who are direct reports as well as a large Support Worker contingent. This role has responsibility for providing leadership and strategic management. Some key objectives of the role include:

  • Ensuring the quality of customer outcomes
  • Staff management, development and performance
  • Stakeholder relationships, including a high level of satisfaction amongst all stakeholders
  • Budget development and monitoring
  • Achieving program outputs
  • Quality management

About the person

The Area Manager will be someone who can embrace Taree and the surrounding area with a keen sense of awareness for what is happening. The ideal person will thrive on the challenge of being involved with a dynamic team and customer base, being able to assist where needed in both day programs and accommodation services. Some key attributes and experiences we would love to see include:

  • Previous experience working with A&TSI and CALD communities
  • Demonstrated financial management, planning and budgeting skills and the capacity to interpret financial and output/outcome performance data.
  • Exposure to Accommodation acquisition and setup is highly regarded
  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce
  • An understanding of contemporary issues in the provision of services to people with disability, their families and carers
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands while attending to urgent program or organisational needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop new business opportunities, partnerships and strategic relationships to contribute to the growth and development of Northcott.
