About the Role:

We are seeking an ECEI Coordinator to provide personalised and dynamic supports to children & families. Based in our Seven Hills office you will deliver the NDIS planning and reporting process to children aged 0-6 with developmental delay and disability, and their families. As an ECEI Coordinator, you will have a desire to build rapport with both indigenous and non-indigenous families. You will need to have high emotional intelligence and a passion to deliver the best results in this role based on detailed consideration of the evidence and your experience in early childhood intervention. Specifically:

  • Undertake observations of a child in their natural environment to assess their functioning and support needs using supporting tools and documents within the NDIS IT system.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local stakeholders including Early Childhood Education settings, mainstream and specialist services providing information and support to families with children with disability or development delay.
  • Seek to build the capacity of families and the community to work confidently and effectively with children with disability to meet each individual child's developmental needs.
  • Carry out administrative duties as required by Northcott including regular reporting against ECEI performance measures, monthly reports, funding reports and data collection to ensure contract compliance for the program.

About the person:

  • Have a passion for helping children aged 0-6yrs with developmental delay or disability
  • Identify as Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander (Proof of Aboriginality is a requirement of the successful candidate/s)  
  • Align with Northcott's values as a Partner In The Community.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Education, or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience providing family support and/or family therapy to families using a family focused and strengths based approach.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing Early Childhood intervention strategies with families, using a capacity building approach.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible in your approach with children and families.
  • Knowledge of Disability Services Act & Standards, Child Protection Legislation and the principles of Keep Them Safe.
  • Current NSW Drivers' Licence 
  • Industry Standard Checks (Police Check, NSW WWCC)
