The Opportunity

Northcott is a not-for-profit disability service provider that works with customers to realise their potential

Northcott Quality and Safeguarding division is responsible for compliance with the State and National Quality ad Safeguarding Guidelines. Our objective is to manage and support, Quality, and Safeguarding for the organisation. 

Based in North Parramatta and reporting to the Practice Manager, your role will ensure your leadership is promoting a culture of safeguarding and best practice in prevention and response to abuse and neglect of customers at Northcott.

In this role, your managerial and investigations skills will require you to:

  • Manage and conduct organisation investigations, critical incidents and consult with key stakeholders
  • Direct and ensure the organisation complies with legislative reporting obligations
  • Drive organisational leadership through mentoring investigation practises and promote culture of safeguarding and best practice
  • Develop investigate skills in managers i the organisation to support critical incident investigations
  • Design and implement a framework to ensure investigations are conducted appropriate across the organisation

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated professional experience covering indicating knowledge and application of legislation regarding vulnerable adults and children
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry or professional experience in relevant area
  • Understanding on NDIS quality and Safeguarding framework and the NDIS act 2013
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • Police Check less than 6 months old, or willingness to obtain
  • A passion for capacity building and strengths based approach to customer rights
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse case-load in an effective efficient manner
  • Ability to manage and mentor while leading investigations
