About the role

    The key objective of the Communications team is to raise awareness of the Northcott brand, its programs and customers. The team is also responsible for internal communication throughout Northcott to ensure staff are aware of key events or changes throughout the organisation. 

    The aim of the role is to effectively support all communication needs for the Early Childhood Early Intervention service as well as other Northcott services and functions as required.

    What will you bring to the role:

    • Experience in Early Childhood Early Intervention in a large and complex organisation is ideal
    • Excellent communication skills, particularly strong writing skills with the ability to write articles/information pieces and compile key messages tailored to a variety of stakeholders
    • Strong influencing skills with the ability to gain support for content-related ideas, proposals and solutions
    • Excellent project management skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management ability
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to continually drive momentum on a project which requires input from numerous stakeholders throughout the business
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to form relationships with many stakeholders across a geographically diverse business

    What we are looking for: 

    • Tertiary qualifications in communication or similar degree
    • Minimum 2 years experience coordinating and implementing communication pieces and projects
    • Understanding of business strategies and organisational structures
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Highly experienced in using office applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
    • Knowledge and/or experience of the health and/or disability sector desirable
    • Experience and understanding of branding fundamentals
    • Experience in delivering change communications to a large organisation
    • Experience writing for and reaching a target audience
    • Willingness to adapt and change communication pieces
    • Current NSW Working With Children's Check
    • NSW Police Check - Less than 6 months old
