Your exciting new role!

  • We are on the search for an experienced and dedicated nurse who is passionate in providing high level care in the Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service.
  • Travel within Sydney and NSW is required

As the clincal specialist on the multidisciplinary Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service, you will:

  • Deliver quality nursing and support to our diverse and unique customers
  • Provide person centred, holistic and effective care
  • Be available to work minimum 3 days 
  • Have highly developed communication and understanding of specific needs

A few things that are essential

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent including holding a current Registered Nurse (RN) + CNS
  • At least 5 years recent paediatric clinical experience
  • Experience in caring for children with spinal injuries
  • At least 3 years experience in pressure area care and wound care and dressings; maintaining gastrostomy tubes; and clinical practices associated with urinary catheters and bowel care;
  • Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • NSW Working With Children Check
  • National Police History Check
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of the NSW Disability Standards
  • Knowledge of WHS principles including safe manual handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours at times
